Former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel launched a new political outfit 'Gujarat Parivartan Party' ahead
of the assembly elections, marking a decisive phase in his campaign
against his bete noire and successor Narendra Modi.
Announcing the launch of the party that could signal a realignment of
anti-Modi forces, 83-year-old Patel, a known baiter of the BJP
strongman, said his party GPP would contest all the 182 seats in Gujarat
assembly elections due to be held by the end of this year.
